I recently took a trip to Hastings in which i ended up vising the pier. I was taken away by how beautiful and minimalistic the pier was. I instantly knew i wanted to shoot it. The original pier burned down in 2010 - Making the new structure (In which opened this year) the first 21st Century Pier.

Hastings Pier is visually beautiful. You’ll notice immediately a wooden structure in the center which is purely made of wood and glass. This offers an Exhibition room, Shop and Cafe. The Upstairs is full of seating with all glass surrounding the edge.
At the Beginning you'll notice an all glass restaurant/cafe. Leading on from that you'll be greeted by little wooden kiosks to buy food and other items down the edge of the pier.

Whist i was visiting, I was lucky enough to catch the ‘Peirdom’ Photography Exhibition by Simon Roberts which was wonderful.
